Cancer research remains of critical, clinical importance with more than 1.8 million Americans expected to be diagnosed with some form of cancer in a given calendar year.  Training the next generation of scientists who will continue the fight against Cancer is essential to ensuring we continue on the path toward effective therapies and eventually a cure.  The Rich and Robin Porter Cancer Research Center seeks to expand cancer research at Indiana State University and transform the university into a premiere training center for the next generation of cancer researchers.

What will the money be used for?

Funds donated to the Porter Cancer Research Center further the mission of the center. Donor support provides high quality training experiences for Indiana State students. Your donation ensures students have the resources they need, such as equipment, conference attendance, training workshops, to contribute to cancer research.

Interested in directly supporting a student pursuing cancer research?

All donation levels will directly support the research and educational efforts of Porter 研究员 and students working within the center. From basic research consumables to high-end equipment acquisition or maintenance, working in this essential field can be an expensive endeavor. Your support at any level can make a big difference for these worthy students. Since your donations directly impact students pursuing training in the center, your support will progress both their education and their research.
